JUDICIAL TYRANNY

"If the absence of trial by one's peers - (jury trial) in criminal matters - signifies the "tyranny of a King" - then the absence of a "right of appeal" - in civil matters - is the "tyranny of the judges" - being one aspect of a "Judicial Tyranny!"

CIVIL APPEALS

The requirement for "permission" to appeal in civil matters - is a blatant travesty of justice and open to abuse. Even a simple Google search enquiry reveals that!

THE RULE OF LAW & INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS

The Individual, in accordance with the principle of "the rule of law" - is obliged to use - "civil judicial procedures" - "the courts" - to hold the State to account in enforcing individual rights - at all levels and in all circumstances.

The "permission to appeal" requirement - is an obvious mechanism by judges - to deny certain individuals access to a "proper judicial determination" - disguised as "reasonableness" and "utility" and therefore can be classified as a mechanism of "Judicial Tyranny" - functioning even within an otherwise "democratic state." This "disguised tyranny" - is tyranny of the highest order - since "The People" - are - "picked off" - not within the normal democratic forums or "off the streets" - but one by one - in "quiet courts."

So pernicious is the "permission to appeal" practice - that it will, given the right political social and economic circumstances - inevitably be a cause for 'Revolution' - if not the cause - by a "truly free people" (Oladipo Adegboyega Adelaja, SOTI Collected Works - "My Accusations Against The Judges.")
